A captured memory of the ocean
An Ocean Wave or the rocky shores for a beautiful memory.
Imagine a wave captured in form of a stoneware center piece that holds your special memory of the ocean or sea.
In this collection, I explore the transformative moment when traditional pottery forms transcend their utilitarian origins. It celebrates the unexpected revelations that emerge when conventional craft technique are reimaged through artistic lens.

Inspiration
What began as simple donut forms thrown on the potter's wheel revealed themselves as portals into dimensional landscapes. Each piece features a central void that serves not merely as negative space, but as a deliberate frame through which the surrounding ceramic topography gains context and meaning. The landscapes sculptured directly into the clay surface, blur boundaries between pottery, sculpture, and pictorial art, inviting viewers to peer through these ceramic windows into miniature worlds where the circular rhythm of the wheel-throwing process harmonizes with the organic contours of natural scenery.
