Where Ancient Symbol Meets Modern Technique

The Celtic Knot collection was born from the same obsession that drives all my double-wall work the question of what happens when you split the clay and look through it.

The knot design came early. I had always been drawn to Celtic knotwork, the intricacy of it, the way it seems to have no beginning and no end. But it only truly clicked when I discovered a metallic glaze and realised that the negative space I was cutting away wasn't absence it was a window. Something mysterious you could look into. That quality has been there from the very first piece, and I still love it.

The collection has evolved since then. The forms have changed, grown. What began as a purely double-wall technique has expanded I now apply the knotwork to single-walled vessels too, letting the design travel into new shapes while keeping that same spirit of depth and mystery.
