Craftsmanship: Wheel-thrown in a ring shape, each vase features a wave that's freely drawn and carved into the clay. The wave is painted with underglaze and finished with glossy transparent glaze, while the outer ring is coated in a beautiful off-white matte glaze with subtle pink undertones. Porcelain slip creates the distinctive chest of the wave. Fired at 1200°C for lasting durability.
Why I Love This Piece: This is one of my most challenging designs to create, but also one I'm truly proud of. The ring form acts like a painting's frame, showcasing a single wave suspended in time.
