How It's Made Hand-thrown on the potter's wheel, hand-carved, and high-fired at 1200°C in my Oranmore studio. This tree is meticulously hand-carved using sgraffito technique where a rich dark green slip is applied to red clay, then carefully scratch away intricate details to reveal the clay beneath, creating realistic fir needles and branches. This labor-intensive process makes each piece unique and ensures no two trees are identical.
Care:
- Handle with care - lift from base only when lit (becomes very hot)
- Allow to cool completely before moving
