Handmade Irish Tea Bag Bin - Connemara Coast Design - Devoted Tea Drinker
A Note on Handmade Variations
The piece shown is the currently available tea bag bin. Because each one is hand-thrown and hand-carved individually, yours will be unique with its own subtle variations in glaze tone and carved detail that make it entirely one of a kind. Available to pack as a gift just add your message at checkout and I'll include a handwritten gift note.
For the household where the kettle is never really off. This is the bin built for tea-all-day — a proper, generous store that keeps the pot going from breakfast through to the last cup before bed.
Hand-thrown and hand-carved in my studio in Oranmore, County Galway, this stoneware tea bag bin carries the coastline of Connemara in its glaze the shifting blues and soft pinks of sky meeting sea, layered by hand so no two are ever quite the same.
The Lid A softly dipped lid, curving down to a central hole like water spiralling down a plughole, lets a hot tea bag slide straight in.
Glaze Finished in a flowing blue and pearl glaze that echoes an Atlantic sky meeting the Connemara shore, with warm caramel breaking through at the rim the whole piece settling into the landscape like a rockpool caught at low tide. Inside, the glaze deepens to a quiet slate, plenty of room for however many tea bags the day calls for.
