Ross Errilly Friary holds many secrets — but few are as striking as its vast medieval fireplaces and the narrow stone doorways that lead to worn steps, disappearing into shadow. This tealight lantern was born from those details.

Abbey Design Candle Light Holders bring Gothic character to everyday spaces. The distinctive bottle shape — with its narrow neck and broader carved body — echoes the sturdy round towers and chimney stacks of Ireland's great Franciscan ruins.

This handcrafted Irish ceramic tealight holder captures two of Ross Errilly Friary's most atmospheric features: the monumental inglenook fireplace of the west range, and the half-hidden doorway with its ancient worn steps. Each piece is individually hand-carved, making yours truly one-of-a-kind — like the abbey ruins that inspired it.

• Weathered stone aesthetic: Coloured porcelain slip and embedded stones replicate the texture of ancient abbey walls, with hand-painted underglaze adding depth and character.
